We have just installed this display to commemorate those lost in conflict. I made the soldier and child 2 years ago but last year many of our villagers joined in helping me with the poppy cascade. David McKeenan, John Westwood, artist Colin Simmonds Janet Parker, my wife Daphne and many other local people gave their time to make this installation which hopefully will bring pleasure to many.
Unfortunately the Royal British Legion is not able to carry out their normal fundraising this year dut to covid. I am still able to supply ceramic poppies by post or directly from my home.
These are priced at £10 each, are weatherproof and can stand outside on grave or in gardens. £5 will be forwarded direct to the RBL for every poppy sold.
