A bucketful of trout

We have sheep grazing our paddock which is bounded by the River Lodon –  a small brook really.  Whilst walking round the sheep we noticed a group of people from the Enviroment Agency who were caring out electronic fishing to establish what was in the river.  From a short stretch they netted about 30 small  trout, an eel and a lamprey.  I was amazed at so much water life in a small brook.  They were all returned safely after monitoring.  The eel and the lamprey will  find their way to the sea to complete their life-cycle.2016-08-31 11.49.21

Having retired to the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and reached the ripe old age of seventy, I had a wish to share with anyone who may be interested, my love of painting and pottery. I hope you will enjoy your visit.
