Just returned from a two day trip to Aberaeron. Lines of beautiful pastel coloured houses embrace the charming little harbour. Always look forward to a visit here.
On our way back Daphne and I stopped on a small pull-in just outside the village of Llangurig, a beautiful part of Wales. A scene caught my eye of an old shed standing behind a rise of conifers with sunlight shafting through. Out came my sketchbook and I got engrossed, trying to catch the scene. I heard dogs barking and a figure appeared with a very fit Alsation. Glad to say I was on the right side of the fence!
The figure belonged to a very pleasant guy called Steve Dinley who ran his dog training business from the site. He showed great interest in what I was doing and told me that his job was training guard and specialised dogs for the police and private customers here and abroad. His website NCTC.org.uk (National Canine Training Centre) is an interesting visit.
I am posting a pen and wash sketch of this together with a couple of other 10″ x 8″ that I have just completed. One is of our local church here at Stoke Lacy that I may produce as a card to sell for our church funds.
I hope that you are all keeping well and I will post again shortly. Nigel.
